Layer 1 · The human idea

Health is organized continuity under changing load.

A living system stays itself by organizing what arrives — load, timing, recovery — and holding its shape while the conditions around it change.

Health is whether that organization holds. A cell keeps its shape with a membrane, a living boundary that flexes and stretches but only so far; your whole body works the same way, on a larger scale. Membrane Health reads whether the organization is holding today, and how much room is left before it can't.

Layer 2 · The mathematical object

A defined state, with an edge you can measure toward.

Underneath the daily reading is a formal object: a state space with defined bounds, relations that play out through time, and a region that counts as healthy. Your reading is a position in it, measured against that region and calibrated to your history.

A position, not a verdict

Your day resolves to coordinates in the state space — a bounded region within which a living system can still organize and recover. The reading is where you sit inside it.

Defined quantities

Coherence, recovery, capacity

Coherence, stability, recovery, and capacity are defined quantities in that space, not metaphors — which is exactly what lets them be measured and computed rather than guessed at.

  3. Calibrates the coordinates to your physiological history.
  4. Computes load, reserve, timing, recovery, and cross-system relations.
  5. Locates the resulting state relative to the defined healthy region.
  6. Produces Go, Caution, or Recover — with the contributing measurements attached.
